Bear

I only posted one pic of bear so i will post some more, my fav one i still have on my camera. He has gotten so big, he is 9 weeks old now (have had him for 4) and over 13 pounds. He goes to the vet Wednesday, will get official verdict then. The pics are adorable, but he is such a little shit. He still bites, but is starting to get a tiny bit better, i noticed new teeth. He likes to steal things & hide, i have had to take anything off low shelves. If you drop something, it doesn't matter what it is, he is gone. He also loves tp & garbage's (normal) so i have to spray them with lysol to mask the smell.

Eat chocolate then talk to him, he goes gaga, or any sugar for that matter, but i refuse to give him sugar. He loves shoes/boots (also normal), he wrecked my 2 month old work shoes. I forgot to put them up. He has lots of toys & lots of stuff to chew, i think it is his age.

He is fairly potty trained, he loves to go outside, he doesn't completely go to the door on his own yet but he is still young, if u go that way though he will go to the door. He will go on the floor if he is mad at you though, on purpose because he knows it will piss you off. He has serious attitude, i am not kidding. He will bite & lock his jaw on whatever you are wearing if you take things away & it makes him mad. Don't worry though, we don't let him get away with it. I could go on n on n on but at the end of the day we love him very much, i just wish he would stop biting, but from everything i read we have at least 5-7 more weeks of it.

February 2nd, look at all his toys
Feb 3rd, he is dancing, he loves it
Meeting his "cousin" Kevin for the first time.
Feb 4th again, look at my cute face, helps when i am bad (often lol)
Feb 4th still. Awwww how cute, my fav spot to sleep when everyone is up.

  1. He's so damn cute! I love it when they're that age and are still so tiny.

If you're even remotely thinking about getting any type of dog training, I highly recommend Bark Busters. (www.barkbusters.ca) They're all over the world...

We have them for our dogs and they have worked WONDERS. We waited to see if our dogs would grow out of certain things (like chewing or stealing things they weren't supposed to have, and the 'play' biting)... and unfortunately, they didn't so we had to call in help.

They use this "baahhh' type grow technique instead of training with food or any thing physical. You know how for the longest time ppl have said, if your dog does something he's not supposed to do, pop him on the nose. Well, they have said that is like the biggest mistake you can do (I was sooo guilty of doing that lol) and to use squirt bottles of water and spray them on the forehead if they won't listen. That way, they won't ever fear you b/c you were hitting them. Anyway, I love Bark Busters.. can you tell lol.

My fav. pic is still the next to last 1.. he totally has the look of 'wtf you doin'??' haha

  2. Adorable eh?

Thanks for the advice Jen, if he doesn't smarten up in the next few months i am definately going to get him training, because i am not going to let him get away with the bad behaviours forever & i want him to behave with other people. I am not ignorant so i understand sometimes you need outside help.

I do the nose thing when he is biting so now i won't. Thanks!

  3. Our dogs (especially Diego) has an issue with biting clothes when he gets excited. It could be a "I wanna play!!! Play with me!!" excited or even a "I'm pissed at you!" excited. He'll walk up and just chomp down on your pants or shirt and won't let go for the life of him. We did what we were always told, pop him on the nose. But now we're wiser, we use the 'baahhh' growl and squirt bottles. It has really helped.... most of the time anyway lol He can be a little stubborn.. and when I say a little I mean A LOT!! ;)

  4. Ya bear has that attitude, you know when he is pissed at you. He will shit on the floor too when you piss him off lol.

I will see how he does as he gets a bit older.

  5. Yea Diego would do that. Well, he'd pee on the floor out of spite. Little bastard lol.

Ari on the other hand... there isn't anything I dislike about that dog. He's so easy going, loves to cuddle when he's sleepy, is overall pretty mellow but does have his 'jumping bean' episodes lol. I swear, that dog and jump straight up in the air.. all 4 paws leaving the grown. Not like a normal jump where the front paws are up 1st.. nope.. he goes from standing on all 4 to being about 3 ft up in the air and back down on all 4 again. It cracks me up. He reminds me of a scared cat when he does that. You know.. from the cartoons and stuff.. where they'd arch their back, straighten their tail and jump up.. yep.. thats him lol

  6. lol jumping bean, how funny.

Bear only cuddles sometimes right now, he usually is too busy trying to bite you, even with his toys. I have noticed him calming down a bit lately. We have also been able to take him for walks more so that helps, but not with the biting.

He likes the water bottle, ugh lol.
