Driving pet peeves

I think i will do 2 or 3 posts today, if not i will post a few over the next couple days. I need to learn how to put pictures in my posts and write around them as i see other people do to make them more appealing. Do i just type, then click the pic of the mountain then type more? I wish i knew more of what i was doing with blogger, yes i have read about how to do things but i need more visuals and hands on beside me lol. On to topic at hand.

I am not a speed demon (nope not i, for the most part) and i go really slow in storms where one can't see (we had one so bad people had their heads out the window because all you could see around you was white, nothing at all else, was that flat of a stretch, where 5 mins takes u 20) and to me it is OK to go slow when storming, or super icy or whatever, that is fine. When it is a nice SUNNY clear day do the fricken speed limit. It takes me 5 minutes to get to town on a 2 lane stretch of highway but i am constantly stymied by SLOW drivers, and i don't mean the ones close to the speed limit, i mean the ones 10 - 20 km below the speed limit, it is VERY hard to pass them on this stretch as it is real busy. I am not always in a hurry but i do not like to drive 70 in a 90 zone which happens allllllllll the time. I do not understand it, if you are not comfortable with the speed limit, do not drive, if you want to look at the scenery pull over. What could possibly be a good reason to go soooo slow in perfect conditions.

Another pet peeve with driving is pulling out in front of me, effectively cutting me off and then going slow because your full size suv takes some time to get going when there is NO ONE behind me and you could have let me go and pulled out comfortably not bothering anyone behind me. This is VERY common, a tow truck driver did it to me yesterday, thank god i was able to go around him, because he was quite heavy & could not speed up very fast. Where is the common courtesy these days??? There is a yield off one of the highway off ramps, and most people think that means cut off the person coming on the straight away because i don't want to yield like the sign says and go behind them, so these people then go full boar and pull out right in front of me making me slow down when i have the RIGHT OF WAY. I think people get lazy & compliant and need to go back to driving school to learn the rules of the road. I am in no way perfect but i am very courteous, have good common sense, and know the rules of the road.

Another HUGE thing is semi's, while some semi drivers are ignorant and cut you off and act stupid (you will find that with any profession) most are not. My fi is a semi driver and i have gone with him a few times. I am sorry if this offends anyone but i have to say people are IDIOTS, a semi can NOT stop very fast when you cut them off, especially on the ice in winter, even more so when you have a live load of milk pushing your truck. My fiances biggest complaint is people cutting him off, then turning a mile down the road, because there is no way they could have waited until he passed them and done it safely, that would have taken another 30 seconds, that is too much time (sarcastic tone). I have seen so many close calls because of driver inattention, the thing is, 95% of the time it is the person in the car that is going to get killed, not the semi driver. 95% of the time the accident is not the semi driver's fault either. There was a 70 something man just killed here a couple weeks ago because he pulled out in front of a semi going full boar on the highway. It is sad the man lost his life but can you imagine how that driver feels, someone is dead because of his truck, in no fault of his own, but be sure, he will FULLY blame himself, thinking he could have/should have seen it coming. Use some common sense while driving people. I am sure most of you do, but i have been wanting to get these things off my chest for a while now somewhere.
